CGI 2012 Feedback

My kids Lidoor Liroon and Stephan attended CGI camp this year. They had so mach fun and they learned so much about the jewish tradition.  The kids enjoyed all the activities (it was funny every day when i picked them up they argued who was going to tell me what they did today at camp ).

I want to take this opportunity and thank Aidel, Rabbi Chaim, and all the counselors for making this camp happen, and for a great job.

will see you next year.

Ramit Mohr.

Camp Gan Izzy 2012 Feedback

"I was just thinking about CGI... Amaya woke up at 7am this morning singing, at the top of her lungs, CGI Solano (clapping her hands at the same time) in her bed while Diego and my mom and I were downstairs eating breakfast quietly. Diego was looking around thinking, where is my sister and all this energy so early in the morning, Oy Vey!

"Every day (not joking) since the start of camp Amaya sings camp songs ALL DAY- she even humms them while she is doing her art work or eating. Last night when I put her to bed she folded her hands together and said thank you god. It is so true, we feel the spirit of Gan Izzy in our home and it made a lasting impression on our daughter. We can't wait to sign her up for camp next year and would love to invite my niece from Los Angeles to come as well.

"Thank you to the counselors, Aidel, Rabbi, and everyone who helped put CGI together for making Amaya’s first camp experience so wonderful and memorable. It was especially nice to have the campers and their family at your home for Shabbat to meet everyone and get a better idea of what really went on that week. It was our first camp experience and we felt so welcomed and safe with Gan Izzy. We also met other families and are looking forward to getting to know them better. We feel very fortunate to be part of such a wonderful Jewish Community that is so welcoming and energized. Thank you again!"

New Fabulous Torah Studies Course

I thoroughly enjoyed the first Torah Studies class, every minute of it. I thought I knew a lot of Torah before the class and I was pleasantly surprised to discover how much more there is to learn. It was wonderful to get together with so many other women and enjoy a great lunch too.

After the class I immediately called my daughter who is currently enrolled in a Torah Studies class in another city to share what was discussed. Thank you Chabad for offering this wonderful class, free of charge. Eagerly looking forward to next week’s discussion.

"Mishloach Manot" gift

Rabbi Zaklos:

I was just in the midst of breaking my fast – smoked salmon bagel in one hand and a nice cuppa tea in the other – when the door bell rang.  What a surprise!  I’m not going to open my “mishloach manot” gift until my  son gets home tonight.
You’ve taken on a lot with us here in Solano and in all my years here I’ve never encountered anything like this.

Take care and G-d Bless.
Debbie Rollins

P.S.  I will cash one of my Tzedaka Boxes and send a check to you.  Don’t know how much is in it but every little bit helps!  E-mail me your address so I can send it to you.

Very Happy to Be a Part of Chabad

Rabbi:
We would like to thank you for stopping by our home to share a Purim wish and treat with our family. Hayley and I were very taken by your gesture. We are very happy to be a part of Chabad and look forward to future events and gatherings.  Have a great week.
Always,
Nanette and Hayley Mills

Your method of teaching was interesting and fun

B"H
Shalom Rabbi,
It was great learning with you at Bruce's house tonight.  Your method of teaching was interesting and fun at the same time.  I also very much liked that we learned Talmud, as well as the Torah portion.  That's a great format!
Every morning we recite the blessing that says "la'asok b'divrey Torah".  We are like dry sponges that need to "soak" (la'asok) in the words of Torah.  I'm very much looking forward to the next session!
Shabbat Shalom!
Ron

TO THE EDITOR OF THE REPORTER

My wife and I would like to welcome Chabad of Solano County, a newcomer to Vacaville.   Chabad of Solano is part of a worldwide organization dedicated to education, community involvement, and increasing awareness about Judaism to the entire community.

Among other activities, Chabad of Solano recently conducted a religious Jewish Sabbath service in Vacaville. The service was traditional and brought back warm tingly memories of my youth. At the service there was a good turnout of Vacaville’s hidden Jewish population.

I look forward to the next event and wish Chabad of Solano much success in Vacaville

Shabbat Solano

Dear Rabbi Chaim Zaklos,
My wife Jenny and I want to thank you for inviting us to the Friday evening Shabbat Services at the Hampton Inn in Vacaville.  It was a pleasure to finally meet you and your beautiful wife Aidel and your lovely baby.
I know it was hard work from you, your family, and those involved for putting a wonderful and delicious dinner.  You should be commended and blessed from above ... Baruch Hashem.

Shabbat Shalom,
Joseph and Jenny Levi.
