Ready for Festival of Lights
Menorah now on Main for Hannukah Event

Yisroel Blau photographed Rabbi Chaim Zaklos and Greg Kruzona at the intersection of Main and Davis Streets in Vacaville on Friday as the trio erected a 10-foot-tall metal menorah, which will be the centerpiece of the inaugural "Menorah on Main" lighting celebration in honor of Hanukkah. The event is set for 4:30 p.m. Sunday in Town Square, where Mayor Len Augistine will light Solano County's largest menorah. Traditional holiday treats of donuts, not latkes (potato pancakes) and traditional chocolate gelt (coins) will be served during the event. Music, arts and crafts, raffles, and an entertaing clown are also panned to make the event something for adults and children of all ages. The Hanuukkah festival is free and open to the public.
