Chabad is a network

Why I support Chabad of Solano County?

1. It is a place, it is people, it is events, it is a holy network that supports me in growing spiritually and helps me during crises of all sorts (medical, spiritual, plambing!!).

2. What comes to mind is a series of events and conversations over the past few weeks. I was asking you and Hashem, over and over, "What is going on? I have been hospitalized and in danger for my life three times in the past 15 months. What is going on? Then I find the Rebbe's Commentary in the Blue Chumash (p.232):

"Joseph's experience vividly demonstrates that whether or not we realize it, everything that happens to us is orchestrated by G-d for our benefit."

I'm sure I have heard this before, but now I recognized the answer to the questions I had been asking.

Chabad of Solano provides a place and people with whom I can have holy conversations, ask holy questions, find holy answers and grow in my spiritual understanding and in my ability to be of help and of service to others.

3. An additional answer to my questioning is a re-frame. The bottom line is that I am alive! Each time I was in danger, I received help from so many sources, and I survived and grew and had more to be grateful for.

Member of Chabad since 2009

Moving to Vacaville over 20 years ago, I never dreamed that I would be part of a local vital, vibrant, loving, and inclusive Jewish community. When Chabad of Solano County emerged in 2009, I became immediately drawn into the fold by Rabbi and Aidel Zaklos who are the core of this amazing Center for Jewish Life. Each year brought new opportunities for us to work together to strengthen and grow this wonderful place. This year is no different. I truly consider Chabad and the Zakloses part of my family and for this I am deeply grateful.

Chabad reaches out

We support Chabad Solano because they step up and support ALL members of the community. Although located in Vacaville, Rabbi reaches out to each city within the county. Whenever I have had a medical need, they have been there to support me.

Supporting loved ones

Dear Rabbi Chaim and Aidel, I want to support Chabad Solano because you are so very supportive to me and all the people that come in contact with you. When Marvin passed away five years ago, you were there for me. When I moved to Fairfield, I want to be able to participate more at Chabad. Happy New Year to you and your wonderful family, Aidel and the children. Keep well.

G-D Bless,

Staying connected to G-d

I feel the desire to support Chabad because everything Chabad does supports Jews staying connected to G-d and being the best version of themselves. What higher human pursuit exists that the purist to be close to G-d?

Chabad is more than a title

 Thanks to Tzvi Freeman

I support Chabad because they show me that we're all one. I believe we are more than a religion and Tzvi says it so profoundly. Chabad is like a single soul radiating into many bodies, each ray shining forth on its unique mission, each light according to its capacity, each embodiment playing its crucial role. Together we compose a symphony, no instrument more vital than another.

The Rebbe used a popular paraphrase that said "Labels are for shirts, not for Jews." Chabad serves all Jews equally, with no expectations.

Chabad is a safe place to come and feel like you are home.

Dedication for love

You dedicated your lives to the care of two families: your children and the Jewish community of Solano. This is a way to return your love.

Hashem brings strength

I love Chabad for many reasons. I feel closer to Hashem. I have so many reasons to pray and even more to thank Hashem.

Hashem gives me strength, clears my mind, and I am so grateful for that. I'm never alone anymore and this is bcause I pray. I am stronger each day because my community is stronger.

Judaism works wonders

" I support Chabad Solano because I deeply believe Rabbi Chaim and Aidel care about the spiritual well-being of our community. It is no small task to bring Judaism, in all its myriad forms, to the people, especially in small towns, and I imagine every dollar helps the efforts in a meaningful way!"
