Chabad is calling

We support Chabad of Solano County because of the great work the Rabbi and Rebbetzin do in attracting lost members of the tribe into the congregation.

Growing community

I grew up in this community and my family helped build and grow the Russian/Jewish community I would like to see it continue to thrive.

Chabad reaches out

We support Chabad Solano because they step up and support ALL members of the community. Although located in Vacaville, Rabbi reaches out to each city within the county. Whenever I have had a medical need, they have been there to support me.

Supporting loved ones

Dear Rabbi Chaim and Aidel, I want to support Chabad Solano because you are so very supportive to me and all the people that come in contact with you. When Marvin passed away five years ago, you were there for me. When I moved to Fairfield, I want to be able to participate more at Chabad. Happy New Year to you and your wonderful family, Aidel and the children. Keep well.

G-D Bless,

Geri Soroken

Staying connected to G-d

I feel the desire to support Chabad because everything Chabad does supports Jews staying connected to G-d and being the best version of themselves. What higher human pursuit exists that the purist to be close to G-d?

Being a part of the community

Moving to Vacaville over 20 years ago, I never dreamed that I would be part of a local vital, vibrant, loving, and inclusive Jewish community. When Chabad of Solano County emerged in 2009, I became immediatley drawn into the fold by Rabbi and Aidel Zaklos who are the core of this amazing Center for Jewish Life. Each year brought new opportunities for us to work together to strengthen and grow this wonderful place. This year is no different. I truly consider Chabad and the Zakloses part of my family and for this I am deeply grateful.

Chabad is more than a title

 Thanks to Tzvi Freeman

I support Chabad because they show me that we're all one. I believe we are more than a religion and Tzvi says it so profoundly. Chabad is like a single soul radiating into many bodies, each ray shining forth on its unique mission, each light according to its capacity, each embodiment playing its crucial role. Together we compose a symphony, no instrument more vital than another.

The Rebbe used a popular paraphrase that said "Labels are for shirts, not for Jews." Chabad serves all Jews equally, with no expectations.

Chabad is a safe place to come and feel like you are home.

Dedication for love

You dedicated your lives to the care of two families: your children and the Jewish community of Solano. This is a way to return your love.

Hashem brings strength

I love Chabad for many reasons. I feel closer to Hashem. I have so many reasons to pray and even more to thank Hashem.

Hashem gives me strength, clears my mind, and I am so grateful for that. I'm never alone anymore and this is bcause I pray. I am stronger each day because my community is stronger.

Judaism works wonders

" I support Chabad Solano because I deeply believe Rabbi Chaim and Aidel care about the spiritual well-being of our community. It is no small task to bring Judaism, in all its myriad forms, to the people, especially in small towns, and I imagine every dollar helps the efforts in a meaningful way!"

From 1966 to present

I moved from New York to California in 1966. It wasn't until Chabad and Rabbi Zaklos came to Vacaville that I was able to reconnect with my Jewish roots his presence in Solano county.

Is a blessing for us all.

Learning about Judaism

Growing up I didn't learn much about Judaism. Being part of the local chabad community has allowed me to learn about being Jewish and I enjoy the tradition services.

Contributing to annual fundraiser

I am happy to be able to contribute to Chabad Solano during this annual fundraiser. Rabbi Chaim and Aidel have for many years been the inspirational leaders and awesome educators in our Jewish community. Rabi Zaklos is a never tiring cheerleader for Jewish life and for a visible Jewish presence in Solano County. Rabbi Chaim Zaklos makes all of us feel welcome in the community and in our religious studies. Helping each of us return to our Jewishness at our own pace without pressure, guilt, or judgements. The opportunity to participate in religious prayer and studies is offered to me and many others and is greatly appreciated.

Welcoming opportunties to younger generations

Rabbi Zaklos, his family and Chabad of Solano County have made my family and I feel so welcomed! Originally coming from NY, it was easy to lose my connectedness to being Jewish here, and Chabad has now filled that disconnect with open arms. Their warmth and kindness runs deep. I am happy to be able to partake in Jewish life and activities once again and be able to share that experience with my son. I am excited and eager for my son to have the opportunity to learn, study and explore Judaism, as Rabbi Zaklos and Chabad lead the way.

Dedication

The light of Chabad of Solano County shines bright. Even though my family has moved to a different state we remain connected through the teachings and unconditional love and acceptance we received during our many years with the Zaklos family. Their unwavering dedication to teaching, sharing, and living our Jewish traditions are an inspiration and our connection transcends time and physical distance.

Going the extra mile

I truly appreciate chabad of Solano! I feel confident that I am receiving traditional teaching in how to live a Jewish life. Rabbi Zaklos sincerely cares for every Jew and goes the extra mile in providing a place where we can all enjoy our religion. Thank you Rabbi and Aidel!

Supporting Chabad

 Dear Aidel and dear Rabbi,

I truly wish that I could better support your thriving Chabad community. And I wish nothing more than watching your organization more and more vibrant.

I do realize how much you both give of yourselves, as well as your delightful children, in order to reach out to all neighboring families.

Am trying very hard to selectively share in between our Jewish organizations locally as well as in Israel... And we know the vast number of them which depend on us.....

...just bought a Super Lotto ticket.....

Am sure your multi efforts will bring sufficient funds towards your multitude of endeavors for this year!!!

Amen

Summer camp

We support Chabad of Solano for many reasons. Our Rabbi Chaim Zaklos, has the incredible strength harnessing the enthusiasm of the Jewish community, which he lives by everyday!

I have been a small part of this summer camp for many years by getting the kids on a tennis court to have a lot of fun while learning a new sport! It is with great pleasure my wife Beth and I support any of his efforts throughout our community!

Shalom, and thank you Rabbi for all you do!

Chabad will take care of you

Chabad of Solano County is the place where all Jews are welcome regardless of how little they may know. It's a place where you can feel home and at ease while getting to know your true inner essence. My hope for this year is continued educational opportunities and a minyan every Shabbos!

The Zaklos family will welcome you as their own and take good care of the needs you didn't even know you had!

Nathan Hansford

Chabad welcomes everyone

Chabad of Solano County is a generous and supportive community that cares about the well being of the established and the felon just the same. Those who are observant, the reformed, and all in between are welcomed.

Participating in Chabad

My husband, Rodd and I are glad ti support Chabad of Solano County! We love participating in a local community that brings warmth, depth laughter, fellowship, diverse opinions, delicious food, and beautiful prayerful melodies to any interested Jews.

Each time we read an email, take a class, enjoy a Shabbos meal, celebrate a holiday, or experience another event, we feel grateful for the love, devotion, and generosity of Rabbi Chaim and Rebbetzin Aidel, and the many other helping hands. Again and again I am grateful for the comforting familiarity of holiday celebrations as new memories and nourishing times are created, while the foundation is laid for a meaningful future. Please join us in the making this possible for Jews who are new to rituals and celebrations, those who like to partake occasionally, as well those devoted to consistent observance.

Reconnecting to Judaism

The warmth and spirit of the Chabad community and rabbi Zaklos and his family have helped rekindle a sense of connection to Judaism that had been lacking in us since moving to Solano county.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn, socialize and spiritually grow with Chabad Solano.
