FAIRFIELD — Making olive oil from an olive oil hand press, a Jelly Belly-filled Menorah and Mr. Jelly Belly dressed as Hanukkah hero Judah the Maccabee will all be part of this year's Hanukkah celebration at Jelly Belly.

The Dec. 8 celebration at the Jelly Belly Visitor Center is being put together by Vacaville-based Chabad of Solano County and is sponsored by Jelly Belly.

Creating and lighting the menorah will be at 4:30 p.m. There will also be a performance by the Ferris Wheel Band from Berkeley, a children's Hanukkah choir and face painting.

Corto Olive Oil Co. will offer a hands-on olive press demonstration. Participants can squeeze and press olives just like the ancient Maccabees did with an olive oil hand press.

There will also be Hanukkah foods, a creative crafts corner and a Hanukkah Theater. Participants can take pictures with Mr. Jelly Belly dressed as Hanukkah hero Judah the Maccabee.

The celebration runs from 3:30-7 p.m. at One Jelly Belly Lane. For more information, go to http:www.JewishSolano.com or call 592-5300.
